NOBO, which is north of Downtown, is comprised of beautiful tree lined residential streets with more modern architecture than SOBO and two shopping districts.  And while SOBO has the Flatirons, North Boulder has Mount Sanitas. It's a popular hike but If hiking isn't your thing, you can cross country ski at North Boulder Park when the snow falls. Or walk/bike/run around Wonderland Lake. On the cultural side, NOBO has become the new hub of the local art scene with monthly Art Walks and annual Open Studios.  And NOBO is home to three excellent elementary and one middle school. It's a great place to live!

This is one of the most coveted spots in all of Boulder. Located at the base of the Flatirons, Chautauqua is one of the most scenic and popular areas with amazing access to hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities. Trailheads are literally backup to residents’ backyards. During the summer months, concerts being held at Chautauqua Auditorium echo through the fields and front porches of the neighborhood. The lawn is a sea of picnic blankets for the concerts. It’s not a very quiet neighborhood because there are lot of tourists and thru-traffic but for good reason. There are plenty of cultural events, great hiking and it’s close to the University of Colorado Boulder.
